Separate release now from keep in storage
Prepare two lists using the references from the stored inventory: items to leave and items to remain. Include quantities and the latest known description of each selected package. If you need something inside a box rather than the entire box, say so; identifying and accessing contents is not the same task as releasing a labelled package.
Explain any uncertainty in the record before arranging a vehicle. A description such as bedroom things does not identify one box among similar packages. Where an inventory reference is missing, ask how identification can be resolved; do not assume staff will open or search every stored item as part of a routine release.
Confirm the partner can prepare the selected items
Ask about the proposed retrieval date, appointment, release authority and whether selected items can be made available under the actual storage arrangement. State who is permitted to collect and how the requested selection will be confirmed. Do not treat a storage booking as unrestricted customer access or a standing collection appointment.
If partial access will be important, discuss it when the storage plan is assessed rather than only after the goods are placed. Ask which preparation, retrieval or handling tasks the proposal includes. There is no universal access policy or retrieval charge published here, and no promise that all items are independently reachable.
Build a new load specification for the onward journey
Use the packed sizes and weights of the items actually leaving, not the volume of the whole stored consignment. Identify furniture components that must travel together and any protection or handling requirement. A small selection of boxes and one awkward cabinet may need a different plan from the original move into storage.
Give the next delivery address, receiving window, floors, lifts, stopping distance and requested handover point. Carrying into a room, unpacking and furniture assembly are separate assessed tasks. Releasing goods from storage does not automatically book the onward vehicle or establish that the destination can receive them.
Close the release with a current remainder record
Keep the agreed selection consistent between the person authorising release, the storage partner and the receiver. If you change the selection or delivery address, notify me before collection so identification, capacity and appointments can be reassessed. Avoid having different versions of the item list used at the two handovers.
After the agreed release, retain the handover record and update which item references remain in storage. Confirm the plan for those remaining goods separately, including the expected storage period and later destination when known. I coordinate individually confirmed partner arrangements; this does not imply a warehouse owned by us in your chosen city.

| Part of the plan | What to provide or confirm |
|---|---|
| Selected goods | Inventory references, quantities and whole-package or contents request |
| Goods staying | Separate current list of references that must not leave |
| Partner handover | Feasible preparation, authorised release and collection appointment |
| Onward load | Packed dimensions, weights, related components and handling requirements |
| Final delivery | Receiving address, access, date window and agreed indoor work |
Practical questions
Can I request only some boxes from a stored consignment?
Request it with the inventory references and intended date. The partner’s ability to identify, access and prepare those items must be confirmed for your actual arrangement.
Can I arrive at the storage location whenever I need something?
Do not assume that. Access, authorisation, retrieval preparation and appointments are individually agreed; partner storage is not automatically a self-access unit.
Does a partial release include transport to my new address?
Not automatically. Provide the selected load and delivery details so onward transport and any carrying or assembly can be assessed and explicitly included.
