Measure the goods and pallet as one packed unit
For each pallet type, give length, width and total packed height, including the base and packaging. Record any goods extending beyond its edges. If pallets differ, list the groups separately rather than give one average size that hides the tallest or widest unit.
Include each loaded pallet’s gross weight and the total consignment weight. Tell me what the goods are, and flag anything unusually heavy, fragile or with special handling requirements. This service is for goods on pallets, not simply the movement of empty pallet bases.
State stackability rather than leave it to appearance
Tell me whether another load can safely be placed on top, and any limits already established for the packaging. Mark non-stackable units clearly. Fragile contents, uneven tops and overhang can change the required floor space even when the pallet count stays the same.
For a larger or awkward load, include a loading plan or the required floor space if known. Loading metres describe vehicle floor length occupied; they are not the same as cubic metres. If you are unsure, send measurements and photos rather than invent a precise figure.
Explain how the vehicle will be loaded and unloaded
State the equipment available at each address: forklift, loading bay or another agreed method. Mention side-loading or rear-loading constraints. If there is no forklift, ask about a suitable tail-lift and pallet-truck arrangement before dispatch, giving the individual pallet weights.
For a home, shop or smaller business, describe road access, stopping space, kerbs, slopes and the unloading surface. A pallet truck does not make every driveway suitable, and tail-lift capacity is not assumed from the truck’s total payload. Equipment and handling must match the actual units and location.
Give the ready time and receiving slot
Provide exact collection and delivery postcodes, goods-ready time, opening hours and any booking process. Distinguish a preferred delivery date from a firm deadline. If production or packing is not finished, say which figures and dates are provisional.
I assess single pallets, part loads and dedicated or full-load options from the route and cargo. For routes involving customs, tell me the goods’ status, seller/buyer or importer arrangements and any agent already involved. I confirm the clearance service scope separately from applicable duties or VAT.

Practical questions
Can a private client request pallet shipping?
Yes. I assess private and business enquiries. A residential collection or delivery needs clear access and unloading arrangements, not an assumed warehouse loading bay.
Does one Euro pallet always fit in a van?
Floor space is only one constraint. Packed height, weight, loading openings and handling can require a different vehicle even for a single pallet.
Why can the price change when the pallet count is unchanged?
Locations, packed dimensions, weight, stackability, vehicle, handling and dates affect the proposal. A changed unit or access requirement can matter even when the number of pallets stays the same.
Tell me your route and what you need to move. I assess your enquiry personally, with services arranged through 1wayeurope OÜ.
